Winter Speaker Series – Battle of the Atlantic

On Monday February 24th, at 3;00 p.m., the Overfalls Foundation continues its Winter Speaker Series at the Lewes Public Library with a presentation titled “Battle of the Atlantic: Eastern Sea Frontier”. Fort Miles Historical Association historian Edward Paterline will provide a brief history of the little-known war against German submarines off the east coast of the United States during WWII with a particular focus on the Mid-Atlantic region. Join us as Mr Paterline discusses what happened off the Delaware coast and how Fort Miles protected the Delaware River from enemy submarine incursion.
