The Lightship Overfalls Weather Station provides current local weather information and a live streaming camera feed in the Lewes harbor.
Historically, lightships served primarily to warn of navigational hazards and to serve as markers to the entrance of rivers, harbors, etc. They also served as weather stations to provide accurate forecasts for the safety of all the maritime trades.
This new weather station continues the proud tradition of serving the maritime community with current weather and a bird’s eye view of the Lewes waterfront.
